The WAM Alternative Assets Limited (ASX: WMA) Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Wilson Asset Management’s appointment of Dania Zinurova as Portfolio Manager.

Wilson Asset Management Chairman and Chief Investment Officer and WMA Director Geoff Wilson AO said: “Dania is a highly respected, credentialled and experienced alternative asset specialist. We are pleased to welcome Dania to the Wilson Asset Management team.”

Dania has held senior investment roles in Australia, the US, Europe and the UK throughout her alternative asset focused career of almost 20 years. Dania most recently held the position of Director of Manager Research in Australia, Head of Real Assets Australia at Willis Towers Watson where she advised institutional asset owners on alternative assets portfolio strategy, portfolio construction including underwriting investment strategies and direct deals and asset allocation. Prior to this, Dania held various real assets investment roles with Willis Towers Watson in London and New York. Dania commenced her investment career as a foreign currency trader working for a bank in Russia before joining Russell Investments in the UK as a real estate investment analyst. Dania serves as an investment committee member of Crescent Wealth Superannuation Investment and is a committee member of Women in Super NSW. Dania holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Investment from the Cass Business School, University of London, a Master of European Business from the ESCP-EAP European School of Management and a State Diploma in Finance and Banking from the University of Chelyabinsk.

Dania will work closely with the WAM Alternative Assets Investment Committee and within the Wilson Asset Management Investment team of 14 investment professionals with more than 190 years’ collective experience. The Investment Committee comprises Geoff Wilson AO, John Roberts, Adrian Siew and Sally Box. Geoff is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Wilson Asset Management (International) Pty Limited. Geoff has over 40 years’ direct experience in investment markets having held a variety of senior investment roles in Australia, the UK and the US. John has almost three decades investment experience gained in senior alternatives focused roles with Macquarie Group, including Head of Europe, Joint Head of Macquarie Capital Advisers, Global Head of Macquarie Capital Funds and Executive Chairman of Macquarie Funds Group. John is currently a Partner at Alfred Street Investment Partners and Chairman of Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets. Adrian is a highly experienced alternatives professional with almost 25 years’ investment experience gained in senior roles with Nacre Holdings, The Carlyle Group and the Straits Trading Company, beginning his career in M&A with Goldman Sachs. Geoff and Adrian also serve on the Company’s Board of Directors. Sally has over 17 years’ experience in private capital advisory, gained with leading organisations such as Allens, Macquarie Capital, QIC, Greenhill & Co, and is currently Managing Director at Cabot Properties Inc, a private equity real estate investment firm.
