WAM Global deputy portfolio manager William Liu says Nvidia reported strong quarterly results ahead of market expectations and gave a positive fourth quarter outlook of $US65 billion in sales for the fiscal fourth quarter.

“Result signals that demand remains strong for Nvidia’s artificial intelligence accelerators and appetite for compute across training and inference continues to grow exponentially,” he said.

“It should not come as a huge surprise, given the upward revisions of capital expenditure spending we have seen from the hyperscalers and the amount of investment we are currently seeing in AI infrastructure.”
